I am beginning to read this book and LOVE the fact it' an informative, easy read. The first chapter already puts me at ease, knowing I will understand and relate to what is to come. I know the author personally and can attest to her professional demeanor, yet friendly vibe. She does not come off as a know-it-all and neither does her reading. I'm really looking forward to continue reading it and may even be re-inspired to go online dating again after a year of going on 365 dates. Ahh dating.. At least there is an expert who can relate it all and help us improve upon it.
I bought this book thinking it was about self-branding, not realizing it was related to online dating and relationships. As a person who considers themselves to be naive in the world of dating "rules," Spin Your Web breaks down the reasons why some dates work and others don't, as well as why what I'm putting out into the ether of love matters on a subconscious level. Plus, it had the self-marketing techniques I was seeking in the first place!

With so many people looking for that special someone the proper message and presentation is necessary to make sure you are putting your best self forward. In Damona Hoffman's (aka "Dear Mrs D") new book SPIN YOUR WEB the reader is given the tools necessary to make sure they are making the best impression possible.
For me personally I think what made the book so appealing for me is that it mirrored thoughts that I have about business and finding the right position for yourself in the workplace. Just as you want to make sure that the presentation matches the person, the same fits those who are looking to get to know someone a little better.
The book is focused primarily on online dating, and breaks down everything from the dos and don'ts of a dating profile to what information to include and what to save until there is some interaction with a prospective date.Covering everything from your profile pictures to how much information is too much, Hoffman gives you a concise way to being using the internet safely to find, communicate and get to know individuals who could become that special someone.
I'm new to online dating, haven't dated in 12 years, and this book really provided a good roadmap for understanding and navigating online dating.
I actually met Mrs.D she is such a lovely down to earth gal, very passionate about helping others find love. She recommended her book and I must say I was very skeptical about online dating but after this read, it's definitely something I'd consider. Having been single so long it's about time I try something new.
Damona is amazing in zeroing in on the need to personalize yourself in online dating to find what you are seeking and to save yourself time! I recommend it to my clients who are in this phase of their life.
Spin Your Web is a great book. I like the beginning because it explain how to brand themselves for dating online by presenting
yourself as a product. Spin Your Web shows you how to equip yourself with the right pictures, and it gives you pointers from choosing a great screen name, to writing a great profile, what to wear, to going out on that first date. The worksheets are also great for keeping up with your progress. I would recommed this book to anyone who is considering dating on line.
